Getting Your Ex to say YES Once Again and for Good!
Keith and Kara have been living together for six years before Keith popped THE question. Needless to say, Kara was delighted. Keith was also glad she said yes because they’ve been through a lot in the past, thanks to Keith’s dishonesty and him cheating on her. They were just weeks away from their wedding in the Bahamas when Keith was caught red handed again – He was cheating on Kara with her best friend!
How cliched can you get? But that was the truth, and the truth is that it has happened. If you have been in Keith’s shoes, you know that you need to get back together with your ex again because you love her, and that’s assuming you DO want to make amends, yes?
Why do couples get back together?
- Everyone needs love. Nobody can go without having someone to love their whole lives!
- Time can heal the pain experienced from a breakup. It may be a while before he or she forgives you or take you back, but it IS possible
- He/she says the right things at the right time. Maybe it’s a touching poem or a single phrase that your partner craves. If you hit the right note, you may find yourself having dinner with the love of your life on Saturday night or cuddling on the sofa in front of the TV… just like the old times!
Common mistakes people do when trying to get their ex back:
- Convince them to take you back. This is not going to work if they are very angry at you. You may want to take things slow but not too slow. It’s best to read their body language and read between the lines when you communicate with them so you know when it’s “safe” to be on talking terms again
- Apologize profusely. Apologizing over and over will make you sound like a bad record. PLUS it makes you look weak and dispensable. NEVER do this in front of your ex unless you mean it, and DON’T overdo it!
- Make empty promises. This makes you seem like a phony, and it’ll ruin your chances of hooking up with your ex again
- Deny all responsibilities. Do this and you can be sure that he or she will never treat you like a mature adult again
- Beg and grovel. Pathetic, just plain pathetic. Even your MOM won’t take you back if you beg and grovel on her feet!
